BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Bryan ISD Hometown Alumni Association will return this August for its second annual fundraising event.
Board President Alison Prince appeared on Rusty Surrett on News 3 at 6 o'clock Tuesday to announce the headliner.
“Hello, everyone! I'm John Michael Montgomery. See you at Hometown Reunion on August 17th,” the country music artist announced in a video shared exclusively on KBTX.
The Hometown Alumni Reunion is the Education Foundation's largest fundraiser of the year.
“We started this last year to support the teachers and kids in Bryan ISD,” Prince said. “The Educational Foundation exists to provide scholarships and teacher grants to Bryan ISD teachers and students.”
Last year's headliner was Steve Warner, but Prince said they have to try to surpass themselves this year.
“We're going to have more seats in the future, so it's going to be a great event,” Prince said.
The event will include a raffle, live auction, cash bar, dinner, and lots of dancing.
“The name Hometown Reunion means that not only people from Bryan, but all of College Station and the Brazos Valley can come together, listen to great music and have a good time, and not just people from Bryan, but everyone in the community. It's about making new memories and just having a good time back in the day,'' Prince said.
The event will be held on August 17th at the Legends Event Center in Bryan.you can buy tickets here.
