“This ranking is monumental news for the School of Business and is a testament to the value that our amazing SOM Career Services team brings to our students,” said Dean Sherry Dion. “Through our close collaboration, we help each SOM student achieve the highest level of internship experience, while developing valuable professional skills that will put them in the best possible position to find employment.”
One of the first steps SOM's Career Services team takes to secure a student's internship placement is to work with the student to develop a resume and LinkedIn profile.
The Career Services team also focuses on engaging with student organizations and participating in case competitions to increase the marketability of student internships. SOM students are trained in critical thinking, problem solving, networking strategies, interview techniques, job searches, and the best approaches to improving professional communication skills.

This will allow us to assess the status of your internship and, if necessary, he will require one-on-one meetings to assist with your progress.
“Internships are critical to ensuring students are successful in finding employment after graduation, and our career advising strategy goes beyond simple resume reviews and search strategies,” said Whitney, SOM Career Services Assistant Director. Raketa said. “We strive to provide diverse opportunities for students to gain business-related experience on campus, and we strive to provide students with the technical and interpersonal skills that make them desirable to employers as internship targets. We are making it possible for you to learn.”
