Driven by Dow's commitment to sustainability, this partnership will strengthen Beyond Benig's efforts in several key areas:
- Expanding Green Chemistry Commitment Program: Over the next three years, Beyond Benign plans to accelerate the recruitment of universities around the world to its Green Chemistry Commitment (GCC) programme, a systematic approach to advancing green chemistry in higher education (currently over 160 I am joining). This expansion will further integrate green chemistry principles into academic institutions around the world.
- Design of on-demand professional training in green chemistry: Beyond Benign and Dow partner with educators to design cutting-edge, on-demand training programs focused on green chemistry. This initiative provides educators and industry professionals with accessible resources to enhance their understanding and teaching of sustainable chemistry practices.
- Green Chemistry Education Challenge Award: Beyond Benign offers university awards to support teams of 15 to 30 university educators to advance green chemistry in their teaching, research, and service.
- Supporting volunteer opportunities for Dow employees: Dow employees have the opportunity to participate in green chemistry efforts as advocates, educators, and learners, expanding the impact of this collaboration across our communities.
