WHITE CENTER, Wash. — The owner of a beloved White Center is fighting for his life.
Justin Klein, owner of Full Tilt Ice Cream, suffered a heart attack about two weeks ago.
“It was the worst night of my life and the last two weeks have been the worst of my life. My children haven't talked to him since before the heart attack,” Anne Magyar said.
Justin Klein's wife Magyar was devastated by the incident.
Klein is the owner of Full Tilt Ice Cream. He is known as 'The Ice Cream Man' and has been the face of this beloved business for the past 16 years.
“I'm taking care of my family and I'm taking care of my extended family in White Center,” Magyar said.
Magyar said relatives are currently caring for the family as Klein continues to recover in the ICU.
Sarah Fox said: “Anne needed more help so she could focus on caring for Justin and supporting the children, and make sure the business was OK.”
Mr Fox and other close friends have set up an online fundraiser. More than $20,000 was raised to support the Magyars and Mr. Klein, who did more than just provide ice cream to this community.
“Justin was really instrumental in keeping White Center a place where working-class families could come and get ice cream and participate in community life. He helps plan events.”
Mr Magyar said he was grateful for the support and that his business would continue during this difficult time.
She is most concerned about that person as she waits to meet him again.
“I love him and I really miss him. I don't care what we have to do. I just want him back,” Magyar said.
