F1 is back! A record 24-race season, broadcast live on Sky Sports F1, begins this week at the Bahrain Grand Prix, with rivalries reignited on track as the battle for success in 2024 begins.
After a busy and unpredictable winter off-season and three days of testing in Bahrain, the new 2024 car makes its competitive debut under the floodlights of the Bahrain International Circuit, giving chase The group will close in on world champions Red Bull and Max. This year it's Verstappen.
As with the second round in Saudi Arabia next week, the opening weekend will start one day earlier than usual, meaning practice will be held on Thursday, qualifying on Friday, and the Grand Prix itself on Saturday.
Sky F1 will be broadcast live in Bahrain from Wednesday, with live coverage of drivers' press conferences and a special season-opening preview edition of the F1 show.
Then, just before lunch break, the track action begins. There is practice on Thursday As drivers grow, Preliminaries are Friday at 4 p.m. and 57 laps at the start of the season. Grand Prix is Saturday at 3 p.m..

In addition to the F1 action, the new F2 and F3 seasons have also begun in Bahrain, with all track runs also being broadcast live on the channel.
Why is the opening game held on Saturday?
The race weekend will start one day earlier than usual due to rescheduling of consecutive rounds of the season opener in the Middle East.
That's because the Islamic holy month of Ramadan is scheduled to begin on Sunday, March 10, when the Saudi Arabian race would normally be held.
The Jeddah Games had to be rescheduled a day earlier to avoid a conflict. That meant the race was moved to Saturday, qualifying to Friday, and practice to Thursday. The Bahrain Grand Prix was subsequently moved to the same earlier schedule, as FIA regulations require there to be seven full days between grounds.
How to watch and stream Sky Sports F1 live in 2024
