Is the overwhelming William Byron exactly what NASCAR needs?
Ken's phone: He's obviously talented, but he's also polite, good-natured, and literally an Eagle Scout. It would be great if he could be as dominant as Jeff Gordon, but only if Dale Earnhardt or Tony Stewart are added to create a balance of personalities.
Ryan's wanderings: I believe that too much equivalence is a bad thing. I agree, Byron doesn't have the personality to divide and enrage fans, and wins bring their own hatred. He's not there yet, but he's getting closer.

Is Tyler Reddick's reign as 'King of the Road' already over?
Ken's phone: Remember when there were only four or five truly good Cup drivers in road racing? With five or six runs a year, as opposed to the early two years, they stepped up their game are forced to do so. There are four left this year, and I think Redick will get at least one of them, maybe two. On the other hand, remember when Chase Elliott was Roadhog? Is he still racing?
Ryan's wanderings: Byrons has finished first, second and first in the past three Cup Series road course races. Yes, Redick is over. That doesn't mean he can't win, but while you're our resident odds guy, I know where to put the saw at the betting booth in Sonoma in June.
