Innovative Food Holdings, a publicly traded company serving professional and home chefs, has appointed Gary Schubert as chief financial officer.
Mr. Schubert assumed the CFO position of the Bonita Springs operation on January 1st. Former CFO Richard Tan will remain with the company until the end of January to assist with the transition, the statement said.
Schubert spent 15 years at Walmart, most recently serving as the retail giant's senior director of finance and transformation strategy, according to the release. In that role, he was responsible for creating long-term sustainable growth for Walmart's $75 billion e-commerce business. Prior to that position, Mr. Schubert served as financial director of Walmart's Neighborhood His Markets business. Walmart is the sixth largest grocery chain in the United States, with 700 stores and annual sales of more than $20 billion. Prior to Walmart, Mr. Schubert held roles in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, and investor relations for Tyson Corporation, a chicken processing company.
