Amazon India's annual Prime Day sales event will begin on July 20 with thousands of new products from 450 brands launching over two days, the e-commerce company announced on Tuesday.
Brands include Intel, OnePlus, Samsung, Bajaj, Sony, Motorola, Boat, HP, American Tourister, Lapo, Chetak, Borosil, Riversoft, Yale, Adidas, Crocs, Mamaearth, HUL and many more.
The eighth event, which will run from midnight on July 20 to 11:59 p.m. on July 21, will offer discounted products across categories including electronics, fashion, beauty, groceries, Amazon devices, home and kitchen goods, and furniture.
“We are thrilled to offer our Prime members two days of great sales and discounts, thousands of new product launches from over 450 brands, blockbuster entertainment and much more. Not only that, Prime members can order from across India and get same-day or next-day delivery on millions of products,” said Akshay Sahi, director and head, Amazon Prime Shipping and Returns Experience, India and Emerging Markets.
The company launched Prime Day in India in 2017 with the launch of 100 products. Last year, it announced the launch of more than 45,000 products, up from 30,000 in 2022.
The event is also expected to boost new member acquisition for Amazon Prime, a subscription membership that offers premium services to customers. In India, Prime members can enjoy a range of benefits, including free next-day delivery on over 4 million products and unlimited 5% cashback on all purchases made using the co-branded ICICI credit card.
Prime Day will continue to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) by offering Prime members products from hundreds of thousands of merchants, makers, startups, women entrepreneurs, artisans, weavers and local shops. SMBs will launch these products at deep discounts across Amazon programs like Launchpad, Karigar and Saheli, as well as local shops, the company said.
To mark the occasion, the company's streaming service Prime Video will unveil a lineup of 14 original series and movies in five languages, including the award-winning series “Mirzapur Season 3” (Hindi) and the international “The Boys Season 4” (English), according to Amazon.
