I joined Thrivet in 2021 to help shape our digital future, modernize our technology, and deliver great experiences for our clients and financial advisors, and do it faster than ever before. When I joined, the company already had a strong purpose, trusted relationships, and a lot of technology. The opportunity was to improve the experience, accelerate delivery, and rebuild strong in-house capabilities in digital, data, and technology after years of underinvestment and relying on third parties for most of the strategic work. . It quickly became clear that our transformation was not just about technology, but a fundamental business change driven by technology, people and new ways of working.
We have made great progress since then. He hired 200 new members to the digital, data and technology team, focused on product management, design and engineering. In 2022, we implemented a product operating model, created 70 product teams, and integrated 700 employees into the model. We also created nearly 100 new product roles through upskilling and hiring outside experts. This change in the way we work has allowed us to compete on experience and adapt quickly to changing client expectations.
