Both teams played stingy defense, which is what dominated this game. In fact, it took the Chiefs until late in the third quarter to score a touchdown, and they had to recover from a busted punt to set it up.
With the score tied at 19-19, the game went into overtime. (Remember his blocked 49ers PAT in the fourth quarter?)
This is only the second Super Bowl to go to OT, the other being the Falcons vs. Patriots following the 2016 season. And it's the first game to be played under the NFL's new rules (read about the rules here).
Both teams have an opportunity to possess the ball. If the score is tied after each team has possession of the ball, the next score wins.
