What began as an effort to help brewers and winemakers distribute canned products efficiently and cost-effectively has now evolved: BevPort, which will launch its e-commerce distribution portal in Florida in March 2024 and open it to retailers across the state, is expanding to include spirits-based RTD (ready-to-drink) products as well.
Recognizing growing demand and the unique challenges faced by distillers, BevPort has expanded its innovative distribution solutions to include spirits-based RTDs in addition to beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and CBD-infused beverages.
The BevPort distribution portal is the brainchild of industry veterans and entrepreneurs James Williams and Philip Guana. BevPort handles shipping, warehousing, billing and collections, removing many of the barriers and limitations of traditional distribution systems, saving producers time and money. Breweries that sign up with BevPort are immediately introduced to 5,000 buying accounts through partnerships with Country Malt Group and Sunshine State Delivery. BevPort's three-tier digital distribution model is designed to empower producers. This means:
- Streamlined Approval: You can start selling in Florida within days.
- Maintain control: You are in charge of promoting your brand without interference from major retailers.
- Cost Savings: Leverage a cost-effective model with margins as low as 10% compared to the traditional 35%-40% margins.
BevPort will initially operate in Florida, before expanding to Texas and California in 2025, with plans for national expansion in the future.
