Woodland Park's mayor said he expects the AmazonFresh store, the third in the state after Eatontown and Paramus, to open by the end of the year.
AmazonFresh, run by e-commerce giant Amazon, is touting how it integrates technology into customers' grocery store experience.
For example, Amazon's Dash Cart helps you skip checkout lines by scanning your items as you shop. Once you add them to your cart, your produce is automatically weighed. You can exit the Dash Cart lane and either check out automatically or go through a traditional grocery checkout.

“The store is still under construction and we're just finishing up the final permits,” Woodland Park Mayor Tracy Kallert said. “We're hopeful we'll be open by the end of the year.”
Nearly four years ago, Amazon announced it would open a store on Route 46, which once housed a Fairway Market and, before that, a Pathmark.
The online shopping giant said at the time that it would be one of the first stores for its new supermarket line.
But Amazon has since decided to put all future stores in development in New Jersey on hold, with stores in Lodi, Old Bridge and Holmdel also in various stages of completion.
Amazon spokesman Griffin Book declined to comment on the Woodland Park location.
“We will continue to open new Whole Foods Market stores and, if we see favorable results, will selectively introduce AmazonFresh,” Book said.
