Tadweer Group and DUBAL Holding have announced the acquisition of e-waste specialist Enviroserve, in which both parties will hold equal stake in the company.
Founded in 2004, Enviroserve has the region's only integrated e-waste processing hub across the Middle East, Africa and Caucasus regions.

Tadweer has established itself as a pioneer in promoting waste management and a sustainable future. The company is embracing cutting-edge and modern technologies to ensure the success of its operations whilst supporting Abu Dhabi's Environmental Vision 2030 and the UAE's net-zero ambitions by 2050.

EnviroServe: A Journey to Sustainability
Enviroserve co-founder and CEO Stuart Fleming expressed optimism about the company's future under the stewardship of Tadwir Group and DUBAL Holdings: “Protecting the planet requires a forward-thinking approach to recycling and waste management. We are confident that this acquisition will advance Enviroserve's mission to provide world-class recycling services and contribute to environmental sustainability,” he commented.
Brian Wilkie, co-founder and chairman of Enviroserve, added: “When Stuart and I founded Enviroserve in 2004, we dreamed of becoming one of the largest recyclers in the Middle East, and that dream became a reality with the opening of our recycling hub in Dubai Industrial City in 2018.”
“We are proud that Enviroserve was designated a 'national asset' at COP28 last year and has played a key role in the UAE's sustainability strategy with its acquisition by two outstanding organisations.”
In other news, Tadweer has launched a closed tender for Abu Dhabi's first greenfield materials recovery facility (MRF), which will play a key role in promoting the circular economy.
The advanced facility aims to divert municipal solid waste from landfills through recycling, supporting Abu Dhabi's goal of diverting 80 percent of waste from landfills by 2030.
The MRF will promote local investment and provide employment opportunities. It will have a production capacity of 1.3 million tonnes per annum and occupy an area of 90,000 square metres in Al Mafraq Industrial Area.
Construction on the facility is expected to begin later this year, with the facility expected to be operational in 2026.
