Education nonprofit 482Forward and the Skillman Foundation are seeking stories about education in Detroit.
The Detroit Education Narrative Collective focuses on leveraging the stories of students, parents, and educators to shape positive narratives that will inspire and transform K-12 education in the city. It is a collaboration between two organizations.

The project is currently accepting applications until June 9th. Participants can create a story from September 2025 until August 2025 and apply for up to $5,000 in production costs for their project.
Storytellers must be at least 18 years old and can suggest the use of multiple media formats, including text, video, and music. Please visit skillman.org for additional information and the application process.
