Trump received over 1,700 Ethereum (ETH) in royalties from the project. He sold 1,075 tokens for $2.4 million in December and currently holds around 800 ETH worth $2.3 million.
Trump's largest asset is MAGA coin (TRUMP). This meme coin was launched last August and has since become extremely popular in the cryptocurrency community. At the start of the project, the project creator sent 580,000 TRUMP tokens to the former president. At the time, TRUMP was worth less than $0.01 and the position was worth thousands of dollars.
In March, the price of TRUMP reached a high of $11.56. At its peak, Trump's position was worth $6.7 million. TRUMP has since fallen to around $5, but Trump still owns 580,000 tokens worth around $2.8 million.
President Trump also has a prominent place in the CONAN meme coin, named after the dog injured in the attack on Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. After the attack, President Trump presented Conan with an award.
In a speech about the dog, President Trump said, “Conan has done an amazing job. It's a great honor to have him here and present him with this certificate and this award.”
This speech and award led to the birth of the CONAN meme coin. The founders sent Trump 20 billion tokens at launch, representing 2% of the 1 trillion token supply. CONAN's price has been strong since its launch in early 2024, and Trump's position is worth nearly $250,000.
Trump also owns a small amount of Polygon (MATIC) worth about $3,700. These tokens may have been acquired during transactions with NFT projects.
Trump has more than 50 other meme coins in his portfolio, most of them sent to him as marketing stunts by supporters and project creators. However, other tokens do not make up a significant portion of the portfolio. Trump owns more than $5.5 million in cryptocurrencies.
