Stewardship Week focuses on local conservation education
Since 1995, the National Association of Wilderness Areas has hosted Stewardship Week, one of the largest conservation-related events to encourage Americans to focus on conservation – NACD President-elect Gary Blair.
This year's theme is “May the forest be with you.” We have focused on a variety of conservation areas over the years, but this year we focused on forests and forestry across the country. And that's a huge part of many parts of this country and some of our forests, from oxygen production to carbon storage, habitat and biodiversity, natural health, watersheds, and soil and water protection across the country. occupies . ”
Stewardship Week now runs through May 5, and NACD is hosting a number of field days and has several educational materials available.
