On May 16, academic institutions, vendors and employees from across the country will gather at the Fort Cavazos Soldier Development Center for the College, Certification and Career Fair, an important event for Soldiers and their families within the Fort Cavazos community.
The main organizer of this year's fair is Keisha Hoffman, Educational Services Specialist. In her role as principal planner for the 2024 College, Certification, and Career Fair, Ms. Hoffman's duties include formally inviting universities, vendors, agencies, and potential employers to the fair; , which includes coordinating access to Fort Her Cavazos on the day of the fair. event.
Mr. Hoffman expressed his excitement to take on the role of managing such an important event.
“We started promoting this event through our troops and social media platforms,” Hoffman said. “We will ramp up our marketing in the coming weeks and hope to have similar numbers of visitors as last year.

Hoffman said the event brings together educational counselors, university representatives, credential vendors, employers and various agencies under one roof to help Soldiers make the most of all their educational resources. Then he said.

Sheri Buono, Director of Educational Services, said she and her team recognize that education and career goals are often intertwined and that colleges, certifications and career fairs provide opportunities on both fronts. He said he understood.
