The Momentus Institute will host a free panel discussion on Tuesday and launch a toolkit to help families navigate mental health crises.
Executive Director Dr. Jessica Gomez says that while there is increased attention to mental health, more needs to be done to combat stigma and improve access to services and educational opportunities. Masu.
“When you look at the prevalence of mental illness in our state and access to care when care is needed, we rank last among all states, so we have work to do. There are several,” the Director-General said. Dr. Jessica Gomez, Momentus Institute;
“Let's elevate the conversation about mental health. There are proven strategies to truly foster mental health and emotional well-being. If you're afraid to approach someone who's worried about how they're doing, move on. Go for it. You don't have to, check out our resources, and you don't want to risk not being able to do it,” Gomez said.
Momentus will host a free event on the root causes of the mental health crisis on April 30 at Collin College's Frisco campus from 5:30 p.m. Learn more about.
Participants will have a chance to win tickets to the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. If you go there, you'll probably see some players wearing green ribbons to promote mental health awareness. Instead of their names, players and caddies will have a note on their bibs that tells them how they maintain their mental health.
