The Idaho State University International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition (ICBSC) team dominated the field at this year's competition, taking home three trophies, including runner-up for Best Overall Performance, Best Presentation, and Best Document.
This brings Idaho State's ICBSC trophy total to 19 in nine years of competition.
“The team was incredibly smart and well-coordinated,” said Dr. Alex Bollinger, ICBSC advisor and Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU) Endowed Professor of Management. “This year's and last year's results show that our students can consistently compete with anyone in the country and around the world.”
ICBSC challenges top students from around the world to complete 12 quarters (3 years) of accelerated business decision-making simulations over a semester, in addition to submitting a formal business plan and annual report. It's a tough contest that requires you to complete. Students then travel to Anaheim, California, where they compete against other students in an intense 72-hour competition, followed by a formal presentation to executive-level judges from companies across the Western United States.
“Competing at ICBSC was the biggest highlight of my college experience, and I am very grateful to be able to represent Idaho State University and the College of Business,” said the Master of Accountancy (MAcc). student Lexi Thurgood said.
