Ahead of Small Business Week in Pennsylvania, which runs from April 28 to May 4, Pennsylvania officials toured downtown New Cumberland to promote shopping at Main Street stores.
Department of Regional Economic Development Secretary Rick Seger, New Cumberland Mayor Joan Arney and other local officials toured the Westshore Borough Friday morning, including the Westshore Theatre, Hannah's Ice Cream and Oxford Hall. We visited Celtic Gift Shop and Café, Semov's Barber Shop, and Eye Design. plastic.
“I want to thank the Shapiro administration for emphasizing the importance of small businesses,” Arney said. “Here in New Cumberland, we are very fortunate to have a vibrant and diverse business community that includes the West Shore Theater, a revitalization initiative that is a jewel not only for New Cumberland but for the region.”
“As a small town with many small businesses, New Cumberland appreciates the support we have received from DCED over the past several years,” said New Cumberland Borough Council President Don Kibler. “As a community, we have done our best to use that money and trust in the most productive way to make our community a better place to live, work and play.”
