Kim Petras has canceled her upcoming festival appearances this summer.
The 31-year-old singer, the first openly transgender singer to win a Grammy, cited health issues as the reason for canceling future plans.
“My bread, I am shocked to be writing this, but have some health problems “On the advice of my doctors, I have had to make the difficult decision not to perform at festivals this summer,” she shared on social media on Wednesday. “I love [you] You'll make up for a lot and be back better than ever in no time. ”
She did not specify what the health issue was.
According to Billboard, Petras was scheduled to perform at a series of festivals this summer, including Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Mighty Hoopla in London, Primavera Porto in Portugal, and Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle, Washington. That's what it means.
Just last week, LadyLand 2024 announces Petras as headliner The annual New York Pride Bash will be held in Brooklyn on June 28th.
At the 2023 Grammy Awards, the Cologne, Germany native won the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Unholy” and is a talented British vocalist who came out as non-binary in 2019. He shared the award with Sam Smith.
“I want to thank all the amazing transgender legends who opened the door for me to be here tonight,” she said in her acceptance speech.
