This summer, CVS Pharmacy stores across Baton Rouge will begin their third year of hosting summer interns enrolled in the MYWE program. CVS Health, in collaboration with MYWE talent sourcing company Big Buddy, made it possible for more than 50 Baton Rouge high school students to receive high-quality after-school and summer work experience.
“Working at CVS really helped me strengthen my communication skills because before I joined the internship, I was shy, but since then I realized that I am an extrovert. ” said Aamya Johnson, 16, a MYWE scholar. After successfully completing her summer 2023 internship, she is currently working part-time as a retail clerk at CVS Pharmacy. “I love everything about my job, especially talking to customers. This opportunity made me decide that I wanted to pursue a career in health care.”
