Kim Petras won't be performing at the festival this summer.

“After singing the big song, I needed therapy to learn how to block everything out,” Petras told the magazine. “I used to be a therapist when I was a teenager, but I stopped when I got busy. But I missed having someone to confide everything to. I recommend therapy to everyone. It’s an essential tool…The music industry can be very busy.”
At the time, she explained that the chart-topping collaboration and the attention it received afterward “took over my life.”
“It was insane,” Petras said. “Suddenly, I was traveling a lot and there was more attention on me than ever before. It changed the music industry's perception of me and what I could do, so… It felt like great progress.”
Luckily, Smith, 31, had some help helping her cope with her newfound level of fame. “Sam is such a great guy and he's been my coach in so many ways,” Petras said.

“If I feel like I'm in a crisis or I read something about myself that I can't handle, I'll text or call. The level of media attention is really scary. It's something that strikes me as a human being. “It forced me to grow up, and it's so scary. It's inspiring to see Sam be able to shake that off,” she added.
At the end of the day, Petras remains happy with the impact the song had on her career and with the Grammy award. “It was such an honor and I'm so grateful for the whole experience. But I wasn't ready for this much attention. I was exposed and it was scary. I don't normally listen to my music. “All of a sudden, a lot of people were listening to me when they wouldn't listen to me. I was digging out my origin story,” she said.
