Madison Realty Capital hired Sameer Tejpor from Affinius Capital The private equity firm announced Monday that he will become head of capital markets.
Tejpol has spent the past six years at Affinius (previously Square Mile Capital Management), most recently as Head of Credit Capital Markets and Special Assets Finance. He begins his new assignment in New York on April 1st, Brian Schatz and Josh Zegenco-founder and managing principal of Madison Realty Capital.
“Madison Realty Capital is extremely well-positioned to grow in this environment. I will work closely with Brian and Josh to help the company take advantage of the significant opportunities in front of it. We hope to do so,” Tejpor said in a statement.
At Affinius, Tejpor facilitated transactions across many structures, including transition bridge debt, construction, and commercial mortgage-backed securities loans. Before arriving at the Square Mile in 2018, Tejpau was Deutsche Bank (DB)commercial real estate group.
Mr. Tejpor is also the Currency Chair of the Alternative Lenders and High Yield Investors Forum. CRE Finance Council. He graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business. .
“Samir is a seasoned real estate investor with experience scaling and driving value creation initiatives at real estate investment companies, working with borrowers, asset managers, and institutional investors,” Schatz and Zegen said in a joint statement. “We have a deep relationship with each other,” he said. “The need for experienced lenders with stability and execution certainty has never been greater.”
