American world No. 1 Nelly Korda won the first women's major of the year at the Chevron Championship in Texas, tying an LPGA record with five consecutive tournament wins.
The 25-year-old Korda started the final round one stroke behind leader Ryu Hye-ran of South Korea.
However, he shot 3 under on the windy course and finished at 13 under, winning by two strokes.
This is the second major in her career.
Nancy Lopez (1978) and Annika Sorenstam (2005) are the only players to win five consecutive LPGA events.
Korda also had a great finish with a birdie on the final hole, saying, “That back nine felt like the longest back nine of my life.
“It was a little tough on the back nine, but I’m glad we won.
“I was definitely starting to feel it on the back nine, but the nerves just started to set in. This is a major, and hoisting that major trophy is everything I've ever wanted since I was little.”
“Like I said, now I can finally breathe and enjoy this moment because I was really nervous. My stomach hurts.”
Sweden's Maya Stark was helped by an exciting second half and took second place with 11 under. Meanwhile, American Lauren Coughlin had her best round of the day with a 4-under 68, putting her in a tie for third place at 10 under with Canada's Brooke Henderson.
Ryu finished fifth with a round of 74.
The British trio of Georgia Hall, Charlie Hull and Lottie Ward, who won the Augusta National Women's Amateur earlier this month, all finished the tournament in 23rd place on one under par.
Northern Ireland's Stephanie Meadow took a shot further back.
