The USA TODAY High School Sports Awards announces the 2024 USA TODAY HSSA Male Volleyball Player of the Year Watch List.
This initial list includes 50 current student-athletes who meet the nomination criteria for this year's National Youth Volleyball Player of the Year Award. These athletes are either candidates for last year's national show, or athletes who received serious consideration based on season-long performance, state championships, other state, regional, and/or national recognition.
Here's a little more information about this year's program and how it works.
The official 2024 USA TODAY HSSA Boys Volleyball team will be announced in August. All 25 final team members will be recognized as candidates for National Youth Volleyball Player of the Year. Visit the event website for the latest information leading up to this summer's awards.
Note: The purpose of this watchlist is to track qualified candidates. A player may be removed from this list if he or she no longer plays for his or her high school team (by selection or injury) or if it is determined that the high school is not participating in a state-sanctioned championship tournament for this sport. There is a gender.
Who else should we track as the nation's boys volleyball player of the year?
