Changes in state health facility management

A new administrator has been appointed to the Wyoming Veterans Home (VHW) in Buffalo, and an interim leader has been appointed to the Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) in Lander. Both facilities are operated by the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH).
Greg Meredith, a Buffalo native and certified nursing home administrator, currently leads VHW as facility manager. He joins his VHW team from his social work position at Wyoming Life's Resource Center.
WDH Director Stefan Johansson said Meredith has deep experience in patient care, behavior analysis and leadership.
“I know Greg is looking forward to returning home and we look forward to having him join us in building on the great progress we have made at this important and special facility. I'm very happy,” Johansson said.
Johansson also thanked WDH Community Life Section Manager Jeff Clark, who replaced him at VHW after former administrator Bruce Allison retired earlier this year.
At WLRC in Lander, James West has been named interim administrator after Jeremy Forbis resigned to accept a position in the private sector.
West also works as an administrator for the WLRC Intermediate Care Facility.
Matt Petrie, WDH's senior manager of behavioral health, said he values Mr. West's willingness to serve in an interim role as overall leader of WLRC. A search for a permanent administrator is planned.
“I look forward to working with James’ leadership and the combined efforts of Lander’s dedicated staff to continue to provide exemplary care to the residents we serve,” Petrie said.
Part of the WDH Division of Aging, which has operated in Buffalo since 1903 to serve Wyoming's veterans, VHW offers home care, similar to assisted living, and more commonly known as nursing home care. We provide skilled nursing care.
WLRC, part of the WDH Behavioral Health Division, provides high-level medium- to long-term care and services to people in Wyoming who are difficult to house, have high medical needs, or have extremely challenging behaviors. Masu.
