Alan McLean is the general manager of the Cheese and Coffee Café down the street from the mall. He was surprised to find that some of the shuttered businesses were chain restaurants.
“It's surprising, especially for a major company, but I think it's really just a matter of taking care of the product,” MacLean said.
MacLean explained that his family's business has been in the area for 20 years and he knows what health inspections entail.
“They come whenever they want, there's no schedule or anything. Then he comes in and goes into the kitchen with one person and takes the temperature of everything. It really just keeps everything spinning,” McLean said. he said.
McLean says some of the most important aspects to check are food temperature and proper labeling.
“All hot products must be at a constant temperature, and all products in the walk-in cooler must be at a constant temperature. Labels and dates are also very important,” MacLean says. Masu. “We're not just labeling dates, body temperature is key, but cleanliness throughout the day to make sure everything's OK, just constantly checking and cleaning. I think.”
The Cheesecake Factory, Longhorn Steakhouse and Panda Express have reopened. We confirmed on Saturday. Keba Juice and Sbarro are still closed.
