The Idaho Department of Education is inviting the public to review and comment on draft changes made to the Adjustments to the Idaho Content Standards for Arts, Humanities, Computer Science/Educational Technology, Driver Education, Social Studies, and World Languages. is encouraged.
Public comments will be accepted until April 20th. Responses will be reviewed by the Standards Review Committee, and actionable feedback will be considered and applied to the final draft standard. These drafts will be submitted to the State Board of Education for review in June.
“This review process gives Idahoans the opportunity to have a voice in bringing quality education to classrooms across the state,” Public Instruction Superintendent Debbie Critchfield said in the April 3 News. stated in a release. “We welcome and encourage your comments and suggestions as our standards review committee continues to work toward finalizing these drafts.”
Idaho law requires the state to periodically review its content standards. Prior to this public comment period, the Department engaged in a statewide review process that included educators, parents, administrators, and other education stakeholders who serve on review committees for each content area. These groups worked to prepare these drafts for public review and comment.

The review process for Idaho's content standards will culminate in updated standards being approved by the Idaho Legislature.
