The first leg ended just a few minutes ago, but after Manchester City and Real Madrid treated the football world to a breathless 3-3 draw in the Spanish capital on Tuesday, next week's second leg is well under way. There is no way this event will be held.

Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Federico Valverde all stole the show with a 13-minute golazo late in the second half, with three of the six goals scored of the highest quality. Bernardo Silva, Eduardo Camavinga and Rodrigo then scored to make it 2-1 after 14 minutes.
Erling Haaland scored 19 goals in 20 games (all competitions) from December 6 to January 31, before being sidelined for nearly two months with a foot injury. Since his return, he has played 15 games and scored 11 goals. But if you factor in his five goals against Luton Town in the FA Cup, that's six goals in 14 games, a normal figure for a human being.
What's worse is the fact that they only won one of their five “big” games (1W-4D-0L). Cause? correlation? Probably a little bit of both. From Man City's perspective, Phil Foden's recent outburst has been a season-saving godsend for Pep Guardiola and co.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City highlights, final score: 3-3
Scorers: Bernardo Silva (2'), Eduardo Camavinga (12'), Rodrygo (14'), Phil Foden (66'), Josko Gvaldiol (71'), Federico Valverde (79')
79' – Goal – Federico Valverde scores the team's best goal to equalize.
Choose between Valverde's finish or Vinicius' passing (and vision).
71' – Goal – Josko Gvardiol scores another good shot from distance for 3-2.
Completely out of nowhere, Gvardiol scored his first goal for Manchester City in true style.
66 min – Goal – Phil Foden is on a tear again at Golasso.
Is this Phil Foden's team now? What we're looking for is – uh – Pep Guardiola.
14' – Goal – Rodrigo scores Real Madrid's second goal in 2 minutes.
Man City were completely caught in midfield by Vinicius Junior's through ball, and Rodrigo ran in behind Ruben Diaz and passed the ball past Stefan Ortega to erase their deficit and take the lead with 1 minute 54 seconds to play.
12 min – Goal – Eduardo Camavinga's deflected shot hits Ortega, 1-1
Ah, what a bad deflection can do to the momentum of a soccer game…
2 min – Goal – Bernardo Silva takes a free kick at the near post
It was a dream start for the defending European champions as Andriy Lunin was unable to stop Bernardo Silva's early free-kick. Real Madrid will have to be on their toes for the next 88 minutes, but that's not the case for Man City as their focus will be on how to manage a 180-minute draw from a position of power. May affect hands.

Real Madrid team news, focus
Star defender David Alaba is out for the season with an ACL injury, and superstar goaltender Thibaut Courtois has also missed most of the season with an ACL injury. Real have an incredible defensive record even without this duo, with the likes of Rudiger and Lunin playing very well out of position at centre-back and Choameni standing firm. Camavinga has had a great season in midfield, with Valverde and Bellingham driving Real into attack from midfield. Vinicius is clearly dangerous and not having to face Kyle Walker in this match is a huge bonus for the Brazilian.
Manchester City team news, focus
Injuries to two key players in defense will likely hurt City, as Walker's pace led to a great battle with Vinicius over the years, resulting in a great equalizer and helping City recover quickly. With Ake also absent and Josko Gvardiol also questionable, Manuel Akanji could start at left-back if Pep opts for a flat back four. Rodri and De Bruyne will definitely start in midfield, with Phil Foden also required to start. Will City be able to feed Erling Haaland often? And will he be able to win the individual battle against Rudiger?
