She is a passionate advocate for underrepresented communities in higher education, and under her leadership, Benedictine University received the 2019 ACE Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation and was named the 2019 Historically Black College and University of the Year. Her contributions to the advancement of medicine, patient care, and equity were recognized in 2024 by the Healthcare Business Women's Association as a testament to her dedication to making a positive difference in her field and improving society. Carolyn's financial acumen and leadership on boards such as the McCarter Theater and the Princeton Area Community Foundation will help support CIEE's growth.
