Castle Connolly, the leading information directory for patients seeking connections with medical professionals, recently featured 13 VCU Health physicians on its 2024 Outstanding Women Physicians list in several specialties. This list includes her 8,300 women in 77 medical specialties across the country. These providers are also included in the publishing organization's Top Doctors survey.
The outstanding women featured in VCU Health included healthcare professionals with a wide range of clinical expertise, including VCU Richmond Children's Hospital, VCU Health Pauley Heart Center, and Center for Advanced Care Management.
The recognition of outstanding women in medicine is based on several criteria, including peer nominations, research and scholarly contributions, volunteer work in the medical field, and innovation in the field.
