$1 million program will place contractors to help restaurants, retailers, and personal care companies expand and build resilience through free e-commerce consulting services
Trenton, NJ (March 1, 2023) – New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) this week launches a $1 million pilot program to provide free e-commerce and digital marketing consulting services to small businesses across New Jersey to help them adapt to the growth of the e-commerce economy that has boomed since the pandemic. did.of Small business e-commerce support program will provide up to $11,400 in consulting services to eligible restaurants, retailers, and personal care businesses to help develop websites, e-commerce platforms, and digital marketing plans. To qualify, a restaurant, retail store, or personal care business must have a physical storefront in a commercial facility and meet the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) definition of a small business. Business type is verified by NAICS code, location is verified by Google Maps search results, and business registration and good standing is verified by required filings. Services available to small businesses include web page design and development, online ordering implementation, online reservation implementation, e-commerce design and development, and online marketing plan development. Restaurants and personal care businesses can receive up to $11,400 in consulting services, and retailers can receive up to $10,800.
NJEDA has signed agreements with seven consulting firms to provide e-commerce and digital marketing services to small and medium-sized businesses for two years, with two one-year extension options. ERA has created more than 15 programs, including the Main Street Recovery Program, a $100 million small business assistance program. The Small Business E-Commerce Support Program is the fifth pilot program approved by NJEDA under the Main Street Recovery Finance Program.
