Walmart announced last year that it would nearly double the size of its doctor-staffed clinics, opening its first facility in Texas next month and plans to have 70 locations nationwide by the end of the year.
Walmart, which operates 48 Walmart Health Centers in five states, announced that it will add 22 new locations in 2024, expanding its presence in Texas and opening a new location in Missouri. . In its sixth market, Arizona, the company plans to expand in 2025 in areas where it does not already operate a Walmart Health facility.

“With Walmart Health's new expansion, each center will be approximately 5,400 square feet, located within a Walmart Supercenter, and feature Walmart Health's suite of medical services,” the company said. “The range of services includes primary care, dental care, behavioral health, labs and X-rays, and telehealth services with Walmart Health Virtual Care.”
