In the same year, an educational cooperation agreement was signed between the school and Oskar Kemmel Vocational School in Germany regarding a nursing human resource development program. After that, the first 17 Chinese students decided to study in Germany, and six of them, including Cheng, chose to work as elderly care workers in nursing homes in Germany.

Developing high-quality professionals
The Ruban Workshop serves as an example of a mutually beneficial model of international vocational education cooperation. Named after the ancient Chinese woodworker Lu Ban, the workshop provides vocational skills training to the local community. Similar workshops have been established in Thailand, India, Indonesia and other countries.

Many Chinese vocational education programs have also been introduced in countries participating in the Belt and Road, fostering high-quality professional human resources.
In 2017, the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway, a flagship Belt and Road project jointly constructed by China Road Bridge Corporation and the Kenyan government, was officially opened. His two vocational schools in Liaoning province sent staff to Kenya, where he helped train more than 300 railway talents.

Currently, China has the world's largest vocational education system. Overseas program
“Many people believe that only students with excellent grades from famous universities are given the opportunity to study abroad. To better support Chinese companies' overseas expansion, 18 vocational schools in southern China's Guangdong province have launched 39 overseas education programs.

Shenzhen University of Technology has partnered with Chinese tech giant Huawei and other companies to establish seven overseas vocational education and training centers in five countries, including Bulgaria and Germany.

Since 2013, BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. (BBA) in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province, has been implementing a vocational program. BBA works with colleges to develop industry-relevant courses tailored to the needs of both schools and businesses. This initiative aims to provide students with more comprehensive hands-on training and hands-on internship opportunities.
Currently, two vocational schools and BBA are jointly building a program. Every year, the company selects a few students from vocational schools and training centers to participate in practical internships, and if they pass an exam, they can get a job.
“Thanks to the program, I was able to get a job right after graduation,” said Sun Haoran, 22, a maintenance worker on the company's production line. “Last year I spent eight weeks in Munich as part of the BMW Group's global apprenticeship exchange program. I was exposed to advanced equipment and gained a deeper understanding of equipment maintenance.” added Sun.

Universities and companies in Liaoning Province have also signed cooperation agreements with educational institutions in some Belt and Road countries to build Mozi workshops. Named after the ancient Chinese philosopher Mozi, also known as Micius, the workshop aims to train skilled craftsmen like Mozi.
