CloudKart, Cebu's largest e-commerce brand, announced that it is evolving from just selling groceries online.
In a relaunch named CloudKart 2.0 with AB Soberano Holdings as the largest shareholder on March 19, 2024, CloudKart General Manager John Lely Chick said that the online ordering platform developed by Cebuanos is now available for FDA-approved pharmacy items. He said he also handles other products such as. , school supplies, office supplies, electronics, fresh groceries and more.
“This relaunch is more than just a makeover. This is what we call CloudKart 2.0. We are very excited to announce the all-new CloudKart that can be used as your everyday cart. It’s more than just a grocery store,” Chick said.
CloudKart was born in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic in August 2020 with a mission to fight Covid-19 and create jobs through touchless grocery shopping. Chick said CloudKart has revolutionized grocery shopping in Cebu through “hard work and technology.”
“We worked hard to deliver on that promise, expand our selection, and provide the best customer service and online shopping experience,” Chick said.
In September 2023, CloudKart entered into a partnership with AB Soberano Holdings, the family behind listed real estate company Cebu Landmasters Inc.
CloudKart President Franco Soberano said the Cebuano-developed e-commerce platform is undergoing a major transformation to cater to a new type of tech-savvy shopper in Cebu.
Soberano said more products will be added to CloudKart's inventory to meet the specific needs of every customer.
