The first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament is over, and the once 68-team field has been whittled down to 32 teams, with 16 more teams set to be eliminated over the weekend. With multiple upsets already predicted, there are a variety of great matchups scheduled for Saturday.
No. 14 seed Oakland and Jack Goelke Shaw return, this time to take on No. 11 seed North Carolina State, guaranteeing a double-digit seed in the Sweet 16 for the 16th time in a row. No. 11 seed Duquesne, No. 7 seed Washington State and Dayton are also on the list as surprise Sweet 16 candidates on Saturday. Who will break through?
The Big Dance airs Saturdays at 12:45pm ET on CBS. All of Saturday's games will be broadcast on CBS, TBS and TNT, although the men's NCAA Tournament will also be broadcast on three other networks (TBS, TNT and truTV).
One of the big changes this year is the new voices of the Final Four. Veteran ace announcer Ian Eagle will take over as lead play-by-play announcer, replacing legendary Jim Nantz, who retires in 2023. Eagle will join the top announcer team, along with mainstays Bill Raftery, Grant Hill and reporter Tracy Wolfson. A longtime staple of NCAA Tournament coverage, Eagle wasn't alone in stepping into a new role on the team. Former Purdue star Robbie Hamel will be broadcasting his first NCAA Tournament until the second round.
During the NCAA Tournament, CBS and TBS lead the way with 21 games each, while truTV and TNT air 13 and 12 games, respectively. In addition to the March Madness Live app, where you can watch every game, Paramount+ subscribers can now watch every game his CBS airs, and Max's B/R Sports add-on subscribers can watch the rest of the games. You can watch.
From the selection show to the performance of “One Shining Moment” after the champion is crowned, CBS Sports and TNT Sports will bring you the magic.
