Columbia Southern University (CSU) is expanding its educational offerings by introducing six new degree programs and one graduate certificate across a variety of levels and subjects. Additionally, the institution is launching a Faculty of Education to accommodate both existing and upcoming educational programs.
In a March 18 news release, CSU proudly announced the creation of a new College of Education. This is a testament to the University's commitment to expanding educational opportunities. Led by Dr. Frieda Braddock, Ed.D., and her full-time faculty, the university aims to grow its presence in Baldwin County while introducing innovative doctoral and master's degree programs in curriculum and instruction. That's what I'm aiming for.
Under the direction of Dr. Frieda Braddock, the School of Education offers a variety of programs tailored to the needs of educators, including the Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. These additions underscore CSU's dedication to providing educators with the knowledge and skills they need to positively impact student lives.
In addition to establishing the College of Education, CSU is proud to have expanded its academic offerings to students by introducing seven new degree programs and graduate certificates. These programs include:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Cybersecurity Concentration
- Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management – Emergency Medical Services Concentration
- Master of Fire Science Executive Leadership – Concentration in Organizational Leadership
- Doctor of Organizational Leadership
- Postgraduate Certificate in Crisis Management
Dr. Frieda Braddock, appointed dean and assistant dean of the Faculty of Education, emphasized the school's commitment to inclusive education, saying, “Regardless of how educators are labeled, we “We strive to practice what we preach by reaching every student.” ”
This development comes after Gulf Coast Media reported earlier this month that Columbia Southern University (CSU) received programmatic accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for its undergraduate and graduate business degree programs. .
