HONOLULU — Education Week, a long-standing annual celebration to honor Hawaii's educators, students, counselors, principals and staff, will be held March 18-22 at the Hawaii State Capitol. The event will be co-hosted by Senate Vice President Michelle Kidani (Senate District 18) and Representative Justin Woodson (House District 9).
“Each year, we invite educators and students to the State Capitol for a week of recognition for their contributions to education,” Kidani said in a news release. “We are honored to celebrate the administration, teachers, students, and staff who make a difference in the classroom. We are thrilled to welcome these special recipients to the Capitol to celebrate their achievements in educational excellence. ”

The week is marked by daily events and activities such as student showcases and career path expos. In addition to faculty, libraries, students and Blue Ribbon Schools, the 2024 Teacher of the Year honorees will be recognized throughout the week in floor sessions in the Senate (11:30 a.m.) and House of Representatives (noon).
