On Friday, the WiSH Educational Foundation held its annual “Heart District Got Talent” show at Castaic High School to support student health.
“The Wish Foundation has given so much attention to my school, Bowman High School, and we are the only alternative school in the district. They have given us an outpouring of support.” Bowman High School said counselor Rocio Benáides.
This year was the first show in which almost every school participated and auditions were open to students and faculty from across the Hart District.
The show featured a variety of performers, from singers to Polynesian dance, Michael Jackson impersonators, karate, and other performances by Hart District students and staff.
Those who attended the show had the opportunity to present their performances and receive positive feedback from industry experts in order to put on the best show.
WiSh includes entertainer/producer Terrell Edwards, composer/producer/director/guitarist Michael Nomad Ripoll, and performance coach/field producer/casting & tour manager Daniel Laura Sanders on the HDGT Variety Showcase team. I have joined.
Founded in 2011, WiSH “fills the gap” in state education funding and serves teachers and students seeking program resources and supplies to enrich the educational experience of more than 21,000 students (30 percent of them) in the William S. Hart School District. Responding to calls from administrators. They are facing socio-economic difficulties.
