Gunman charged with fatal shooting A family, including a 13-year-old girl who was in Pennsylvania before fleeing to New Jersey, took hostages and barricaded themselves in a Trenton home, officials said.
The gunman, Andre Gordon, 26, allegedly shot and killed victims at two locations in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Police said the man then carjacked his driver at gunpoint and fled from there to New Jersey. “tracked to his house” in Trenton.
Pennsylvania authorities said Trenton Police SWAT team members were at the scene.
Trenton police did not respond to requests for comment.
The incident began around 8:52 a.m. when officers responded to a residence on Viewpoint Lane in Levittown after receiving a report of a shooting in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, police said in a news release.
Jennifer Shawn, District Attorney for Bucks County, Pennsylvania, said Gordon drove a stolen car from Trenton into her home and killed her 52-year-old stepmother, Karen Gordon, and her 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon. He said he did. .
At a news conference Saturday afternoon, the other three people inside the home, including a minor, “were able to hide and avoid the gunfire as Mr. Gordon searched the home.”
After that incident, Gordon went to a residence on Edgewood Lane in Levittown, where he shot and killed Taylor Daniel, a 25-year-old mother of two, Sean said.
Shawn said there were four other people in the home, including one who was injured when Gordon “beat” her with an assault rifle. The woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries, but she is expected to recover.
Police allegedly carjacked a 44-year-old man at gunpoint around 9:13 a.m. in the parking lot of a Dollar General store in Morrisville. The driver was not injured, authorities said.

The vehicle was found unoccupied in Trenton around 11:38 a.m., according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.
The District Attorney's Office announced that at around 12:22 p.m., they received information that Gordon had barricaded himself inside a residence in Trenton with hostages.
The District Attorney's Office said it is “referring to the Trenton Police Department for any information regarding that aspect of this investigation.”
Pennsylvania State Police previously said Gordon was a homeless man with ties to Trenton. The suspect was in possession of an assault rifle, which he allegedly used in the shooting. Police said he may have additional weapons and warned he was “extremely dangerous”.
The shooting led to a shelter in place in Falls Township. Police told residents to lock their doors and move to a safe location away from windows. The shelter-in-place order was lifted Saturday afternoon.
The Bucks County St. Patrick's Day parade scheduled for Saturday morning has been canceled and the Pennsbury School District has postponed activities.
In nearby Middletown Township, residents were told not to travel to Falls Township. Middletown County Police later said they had “received information that everyone was safe.”
U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick said he is in contact with law enforcement.
Gov. Josh Shapiro said he was briefed on the incident and asked state police to assist local law enforcement.
Falls County Police Chief Nelson Whitney said authorities had had minor contact with Gordon in the past, but “there was nothing to suggest something like this would happen.”
Levittown is located in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, approximately 42 miles from the city.
