KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University's School of Education and Human Development has once again been recognized for offering one of the best online education master's programs in the country. U.S. News & World Report's 2024 Best Online Education Master's Programs ranking ranked the university tied for second in the state and No. 73 nationally.

Engagement ranked highest among the metrics evaluated by U.S. News & World Report to determine program rankings. Western's online education master's program prioritizes student engagement and success while fostering a collaborative environment where aspiring teachers and administrators can easily interact with instructors and colleagues. The School of Education and Human Development also ranked highest in U.S. News & World Report's 2024 Best Online Education Master's Programs for Veterans. The university was the only university in Michigan to be ranked and ranked 23rd in the nation. In addition to program quality, this ranking considered how accessible institutions provide economic benefits to veterans.
