A major education summit will be held in Owensboro this June, designed to showcase practices that create meaningful change in communities across Kentucky. The Pritchard Commission for Academic Excellence will hold its 2024 Groundswell Summit and Annual Meeting June 10-12 at the Owensboro Convention Center.
“At the heart of the Pritchard Commission’s mission is a belief in the power of communities to effect meaningful change,” said Bridget Blom, Chair and CEO of the Pritchard Commission. . “Owensboro’s leadership in community-driven solutions is clear, and we look forward to showcasing Owensboro’s efforts to improve learner outcomes at the Groundswell Summit and Annual Meeting.”
The summit will feature a program of distinguished speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, all aimed at fostering dialogue and action on improving education.
Joe Berry of the Public Life Foundation highlighted the Pritchard Commission's longstanding role in leading education innovation in Kentucky.
“In recent years, our foundation has been fortunate to work with the Pritchard team to build a more robust early childhood education environment in Greater Owensboro. This is a unique opportunity to learn from creative and passionate leaders who are making a difference.” Berry said.
The summit will include discussions on both policy and local practice, fostering local innovation that improves education and quality of life.
