After relying on rookie quarterback Will Revis last season, the Tennessee Titans are looking to add a new signal-caller.
The team has agreed to a one-year contract with former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph worth up to $3.62 million, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
The Titans' quarterback room behind Levi currently consists of Rudolph and third-year passer Malik Willis.
Rudolph, 28, spent six seasons with the Steelers after being drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He has totaled 3,085 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 21 games. The former Oklahoma State Cowboy started 13 games during his time with the team, compiling an 8-4-1 record. Even though Kenny Pickett was sidelined with an ankle sprain during the recent season, Rudolph helped Pittsburgh reach the playoffs. He will now begin a new chapter in Tennessee.
He is expected to join the Titans during the first offseason of the organization's new era. After missing the playoffs for the second straight season, the team fired longtime head coach Mike Vrabel and replaced him with former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.
Shortly after news of Rudolph's addition broke, it was reported that the Titans had signed wide receiver Calvin Ridley to a four-year, $92 million contract. Tennessee will also part ways with running the franchise from Derrick Henry, who signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday. Longtime quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who was benched in 2023, is likely to be the next to leave. The Steelers were reported last month to be interested in the 35-year-old to add as competition for Pickett, but ultimately ended up with former Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. It was confirmed on Sunday that he had committed to a contract.
