In response to the continuing challenge of accessing capital for entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, BizLaunch is taking proactive steps to tackle this issue head-on this year by introducing BizLaunch Bootcamps and Pitch Events. I took a course.
In late January, 38 entrepreneurs gathered at the Longbridge Aquatics Center for a two-day intensive entrepreneurship training program.
During the bootcamp, participants learned the techniques of creating persuasive pitch presentations and gained valuable insights into business plans, marketing strategies, digital tools, and more. Now, he's ready to put these newly acquired skills into practice at his BizLaunch pitch event on Friday, March 15th.
All 38 entrepreneurs who attended January's BizLaunch bootcamp were eligible to participate in Friday's pitch event. Thirteen of these 38 companies took advantage of this opportunity to submit proposals for approval by BizLaunch mentors. Now, these companies are pitching their businesses and ideas for a chance to win over $5,000 in free capital and/or one of two technology packages generously provided by Nub8.
