CENTERVILLE — Local businesses aren't buying a second DORA coming to their city.
Centerville is considering establishing a second DORA in the uptown area, spanning approximately four blocks.
This is a specific area where people can drink and walk around.
“If it's not your property, people don't care about it. They'll throw trash on the property or urinate in the parking lot. People vomited in my parking lot. ,” said Dr. Kathy Platoni.
However, some companies are concerned that increased foot traffic will lead to more trash and problems.

Platoni's Psychological Room is where Centerville's second DORA is suggested to go.
“The garage has been falling into disrepair for the past few years,” she said.
He is one of the few people who oppose the second DORA.
Dr. Mike Kramnauer, who has an office next door, said he feels this will be a positive for the city, but he hasn't had experience like Platoni's.
The city says News Center 7 has received positive feedback from the community.
“We've reached out to all the businesses and property owners within the Door boundary, and there's generally great support for it,” said Joey O'Brien, Centerville's economic development administrator.
“I want to see the city of Centerville thrive,” Platoni said. “I don't want to see this car damaged by careless people.”
She said she would like to see it expanded further north and her property taken from there.
She plans to attend the April 15 proposal meeting and speak with city leaders.
