Emily Sexton has been named chief executive officer of Henry Ford Behavioral Health Hospital.
Henry Ford Health and Acadia Healthcare are a joint venture building a new 192-bed behavioral health hospital in West Bloomfield, Michigan. The hospital is scheduled to open at the end of the year.
Sexton has 20 years of nursing experience at Henry for Health. She worked as a hospital operations director and nurse executive at Henry Ford Kingswood Hospital.

Adnan Munkara, president and chief clinical officer of care delivery systems at Henry Ford Health, said Sexton's appointment is “an important step in the successful opening and operation of this hospital.”
“Through our partnership with Acadia, we are pleased to have found a talented executive like Emily with Michigan roots to lead this hospital,” Munkara said in a statement.
HCA Healthcare renews management team
HCA Healthcare CEO Sam Hazen has made several changes to the health system's leadership team.
“These changes are part of our continued efforts to streamline our efforts and align our organization around key strategic initiatives,” Hazen said in a statement.
Michael R. McAreavey will be promoted to executive vice president and chief legal and administrative officer of HCA. He will oversee marketing and corporate affairs, government relations, development, ethics and compliance, and information protection and security, the regime said. He joined HCA in 2022 after working for General Electric Company.
In another move, Hazen is revamping his team, with Chad Wasserman, senior vice president and chief information officer, and Dr. Mike Schlosser, senior vice president of care transformation and innovation, reporting directly to the CEO. Ta. The system will enable better use of data-driven information to make changes.
Additionally, Mike Marks, who was recently appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer, will assume responsibility for most areas reporting to the CFO role.
HCA Healthcare's three business groups report directly to John Foster, HCA's executive vice president and chief operating officer. The move is aimed at improving planning and advancing the sharing of best practices.
RWJ Barnabas Health names chief human resources officer
Linda Marcoux has been named chief human resources officer for RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey.
Most recently, she served as Chief People and Culture Officer for Bed, Bath & Beyond. Previously, she held human resources positions at retailers such as J. Crew and Gap, Inc. The system, she said, “will help promote the culture of kindness and accountability that is reflected in RWJBarnabas Health's mission.”
Mark E. Manigan, president and CEO of RWJBarnabas Health, praised Markor's experience.
“Linda is a highly regarded human resources professional with more than 30 years of experience in the retail and consumer products industry,” Manigan said in a statement. “She has a proven track record of success,” she said.
West Palm Beach Hospital names chief nursing officer
Colleen Shielk has been named the new chief nursing officer at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Theilk brings more than 25 years of healthcare expertise to this role. She previously served as regional vice president of operations for Intuitive Health's Florida and Delaware markets.
