CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper-Natrona County Health Department is inspecting restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, mobile food units, kiosks and food vending operations. Unannounced inspections are conducted at least twice a year at every facility.
According to the division, “There are three types of violations: priority, priority basis, and core.''
While the Ministry of Health is looking for deficiencies, the organization's main goal is to educate businesses so they understand dangerous practices and how to fix them.
According to Natrona County's Environmental Health Program Manager, “There is no sliding scale or pass/fail for health inspections.” All violations are corrected immediately or within 10 days. This means that a violation does not put your business at risk.
If a re-inspection is required, the problem may be more serious or the facility needed more time to resolve the issue. He has 10 days to resolve the issue, and Heald said most facilities can easily meet the requirements.
Critical violations and notable citations will be noted in the summary notes below, while each restaurant's complete report can be found on the department's website, where all current information is publicly available.
