The Energy Information Administration, a division of the Department of Energy, said it will seek feedback on a cryptocurrency miner investigation after reaching an agreement with the Texas Blockchain Council and Riot Platform (RIOT).
According to the agreement, EIA will publish a notice proposing the miner's study plan and will accept comments for 60 days. This notice replaces the previous survey issued under the state of emergency.

The Blockchain Council of Texas and Riot filed suit and obtained a temporary restraining order last week. A hearing scheduled for earlier this week was canceled after both parties announced they had reached an agreement.
The agreement states that the EIA will “discard all information already received” as well as other information obtained during the emergency investigation.
