SEATTLE — A man injured by gunfire early Friday morning after a business owner was confronted by a suspect who tried to break into his business in south Seattle.

Around 2 a.m., a business owner called 911 to report that multiple people were trying to break into his property in the 3500 block of Rainier Avenue South and that he was going to confront them.
Within minutes, 911 calls received reports of a shooting at the same location. When Seattle police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. Police and fire personnel provided medical aid and the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Three people turned themselves in to the Seattle Police Department South Division after the shooting. It is unclear what role they played in the incident.
Detectives with the Seattle Police Department's Gun Violence Reduction Unit are investigating.
